Rhubarb Remix face-off

A classic track by Aphex Twin and one of the most loved ambient tracks out there. Evident purely by the number of DJ’s/producers who have chosen to create their own remixes, fueled by the love of the track, and offered them free to download and share.

Well, to save you doing the digging i have put the best i have found in this post and would love to find out which one is your favourite.

Addled Edit
Ryan Cavanagh who is half of producing duo Worst Friends, DJ’s as Slowhands, and produces as Addled, adds some sharp techny synths, a snippet of break, delicate symbols, and still manages to keep it as dreamy as the original.

Remember when i posted up the Wisp remixes of Aphex Twin’s Rhubarb and Lichen? Well here’s a little video of the Rhubard remix in case you missed it.

Aphex Twin Rhubarb and Lichen remixes

I originally heard these two tracks on DJ Todos Kilchurn Sessions (get on these if you haven’t already). I have always meant to track these down as individual mp3’s or even better, on vinyl. And up until now, have never got around to doing it.

The two mixes have been unofficially released by an artists called ‘Wisp’, who has been signed to Aphex Twins label Rephlex, so how convenient that the remixes are of the man himself. These remixes are amazing:
