Always on the hunt for some decent ear pleasure in the world of podcasts, i would like to recommend Cloudcast. Especially as the latest edition features a compilation by one of my favourite artists – Milieu. Cloudcast doesnt come along too often (only 7 in the last 2 years), but its worth the wait if you are into all things downtempo, shoegaze, and ambient.
Be sure to download all the past episodes featuring tracks from BOC, Freescha, FSOL, Vangelis, Helios, Autechre, Burial and Air to name just a few.
Cloudcast 007 Milieu – Orange Popsicles and Lemonade.
“Milieu’s passion has always been the music. He’s been recording since 2004, now that 5 years has passed, Milieu’s collection has a huge discography. To us we think he is a drone specialist, psychedelic master, haunting melody professor so we are happy that we got him to do this project for us. In this mixtape, he has somehow manage to crush 20 tracks into this one hour mix.”

The Sunday Best head honcho is curating a special Soma release: Shoegazing – 1985 – 2007. After listening to Rob’s Sunday Best Podcasts and Blue Room Sessions, its no surprise he is a big admirer of the Shoegaze genre, evident within his spectrum of respected Shoegaze tracks. Ulrich, M83, Boards of Canada and Shoegaze pioneers, the Cocteau Twins all feature along with some lesser known artists.
